Still Life is a workshop retreat focused on the study of flowers, their beauty, and the way flowers can bring life to an event.
We will be staying at the Washington School House Hotel on Main Street in Park City surrounded by the fresh mountain air and inspired by nature.
MAY 24TH — 26TH
ASHLEY BEYER of TINGE FLORAL
Inspired greatly by color and negative space, Ashley works to create arrangements that are garden-like, interesting, and beautifully romantic. She is a true believer in the philosophy that simple is beautiful. Her arrangements are known for her use of color tones and unique combinations of seasonal flowers. Ashley was recently named one of the top florists in the country by Martha Stewart Weddings.
EMMILY JONES of GATHERIST
Emmily, principal wedding planner and designer, is a detail–driven , type A personality whose dreams are made up of well–organized details, spreadsheets, timelines and budgets. When she’s not imagining perfect execution of logistics, she’s envisioning linen combinations, overgrown floral, and the perfect lighting. Her aesthetic is clean, intentional and organic.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
May is one of the best months for flowers, with almost everything you could imagine in season and available to use , it's the perfect time to learn and grow. You will learn how to build beautifully wild centerpieces and bouquets that are both romantic and engaging. We will focus greatly on color, composition, and dimension. You will also learn best practices of how to make personal flowers, and we will work together to construct a full and beautiful arch.
The business side of things is equally important, and we will talk about how to run a successful floral business, how to attract the right clients, write proposals, and pricing.
Each student will receive one-on-one time with Ashley. This time is open to the student's discretion on what they would like to focus on.
