Welcome to the NEW Charming Details! by Emmily Jones

Alright, I have not been the best at blogging lately, well actually ever. The saddest part of that truth is I've had so many amazing topics and experiences to share. That said, Meaningful Blogging is one of my resolutions for 2014, so I'm working on it. It's part of my "Year of Change" perspective for 2014. So many awesome changes and improvements are happening this year for Charming Details and I can't wait to tell you about them!

For now, I'd like to discuss how I've been revamping the Charming Details brand into more than just a brand. Like any business owner will tell you, it takes time for a brand to manifest its philosophy, standard of work, and for me, artistic direction. I'm excited to say that this revamp is moving my brand closer to that goal. As you can see, the changes made will not only show for great designing (we'll get to that) but also portray what Charming Details is all about.

Aside from my own work, I drew upon the following images as brand identity while in the designing phases. These images spoke to me. If they speak to you in the same way and we are not currently working together, maybe it's time to collaborate ;)

I worked with Thy Doan of Pen and Palates on the brand design and website revamp. She was a dream to work with and seriously hit the nail on the head with the design I was hoping for. We actually met at Craft Lake City last year. I stumbled upon her booth and, after seeing her lettering, I knew instantly that we'd make great friends (I get weak in the knees when I see amazing signage). A few meet-ups later and we were busy at work on Charming Details' brand.

George Graves printed my gloriously gilded business cards with his ninja letterpress skills. They are shockingly thick and perfect in every way. FYI, he is running an excellent discount for 20% off all letterpressed goods, head over to his Facebook page to learn more!

I loved working with both Thy and George, I always felt like we were on the same page with everything. I highly recommend their work and friendship, they are a rad duo!

You'll soon find a few changes with the packages offered and a few other improvements here and there. Exciting stuff coming… stay tuned!

A Lovely Little Feature by Emmily Jones

I'm pleased to announce that Swooned Magazine has featured a styled shoot I designed recently!

I've included a few of the amazing images shot by Daryl of Unlost Photography. Floral Design by Erin created all the floral arrangements, the model styling was by Gentri Lee, while hair and make-up was by Alexis Rogers. Melissa Esplin of I Still Love You did all the beautiful calligraphy and Jen of Sweet Whimsy Cake designed the towering naked cake!
